Do Facial Exercises Work?

Category : Skincare

Facial exercises have long been touted as a way to slim the face and reverse the aging process. But do they actually work? Science says no. There is little to no clinical research to show that facial exercises can do much to help get rid of wrinkles; in fact, science shows that they may actually make wrinkles worse.

Reasons Facial Exercises Don’t Work:

1) Wrinkles are not caused by poor muscle tone. They are actually caused by repeated muscle contractions. Over time, as we repeat the same facial expressions, those muscles get stronger, and the wrinkle effect is increased. Too much movement actually contributes to wrinkles, not insufficient exercise.

2) Facial exercises cannot prevent (or reverse) the structural changes that our skin undergoes. As we age, our skin loses firmness and elasticity and begins to sag or wrinkle. Movement actually causes you to lose fat in your face, and that can make your face look older.

3) Another reason that facial exercises don’t work is because movement can lead to static wrinkles. Wrinkles that appear when we move our face are called dynamic wrinkles. Those that appear when our face is at rest are called static wrinkles. Facial exercises may not cause static wrinkles in the short term, but if you do them for a long period of time, they might.

4) Facial exercises claim to slim the face, but building muscle tone in your face won’t make it slimmer, and it won’t smooth out your wrinkles. These exercises may just give you a more pronounced jaw line, which is probably not something you want.

What Does Work?

There are a number of products on the market that have been scientifically proven to work. To get rid of wrinkles, you don’t need facial exercises, you need the right products.

Our Elite Serum Rx is the world’s best anti-wrinkle eye cream. Our products feature eight medical-grade peptides and our innovative formulas contain a high concentration of age-defying Argireline, which is a peptide that helps target eye wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness.

Elite Serum Rx will also improve your overall facial appearance, targeting wrinkles, improving skin tone, and smoothing fine lines. Elite Serum Rx combines hyaluronic acid, seaweed extract and a number of peptides to stimulate collagen production, providing you with glowing, younger looking skin.
