Fillers Gone Wrong; How Injections Can Do More Harm than Good

  • -

Category : Health

Over the years, cosmetic fillers, such as Restylane and Juvederm, have gained in popularity as a means to give lips a fuller shape and remove lines and wrinkles on the face. Unfortunately, these cosmetic procedures can sometimes actually result in more harm than good. Below, we will share how these injections can go wrong and why Elite Serum Rx is a wonderful alternative to dermal fillers.

Regulations

The FDA has reviewed and approved various fillers that can be used in certain parts of the face. However, this does not mean that the FDA has reviewed the use of all soft tissue fillers for all parts of the body.

Health Issues

There is medical evidence that shows cosmetic fillers can sometimes cause health issues, some of them very serious. These include rheumatic disease, blue-tinged flesh from injecting hyaluronic acid filler too close to the surface of the skin, herpes and facial collapse. Visual problems and blindness can also occur. This can happen if the dermal injection blocks the artery that is feeding the eye, or if it puts pressure on those blood vessels, which prevents the eye from getting oxygen. If the injected material finds its way into a blood vessel, it can also cause blindness, a stroke, or it can kill large patches of your skin.

An Increase in Health Issues

A survey conducted in 2012 by BAAPS, the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, showed that approximately seven in ten surgeons had seen patients who had complaints of complications from injectable fillers. The survey also showed that over the previous three years, issues with some of the dermal fillers had tripled.

Types of Dermal Fillers

There are both temporary and permanent dermal fillers on the market. Temporary fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which is naturally found in the body. However, many of the temporary products use a synthetic form of hyaluronic acid. The more permanent fillers are made from a different type of material and can stay in your body for years. Regardless of the type of dermal filler that is used, experts have warned that all dermal fillers can cause serious and possibly long-lasting harmful effects.

A Safe Alternative

Elite Serum Rx is a safe and effective way to smooth facial wrinkles without the risks associated with dermal fillers. You simply apply the serum underneath your eyes, rather than injecting it. Dark circles will be lightened, eye puffiness will be minimized, wrinkles and lines will be filled and smoothed, and your skin will be lifted and more firm. This anti-aging serum is the perfect way to achieve the younger look you desire without the risk and potentially harmful effects of cosmetic fillers.
